There's still life in the old girl yet.

Finally got some parts in today and got to work on the slave cylinder.

At 17 years old, you expect some things to go south. But when your bike has never spent a single night outdoors, you've changed your fluids regularly, you really don't expect it to look this bad:

It was pretty bad. The seals were as hard as rocks too, so small wonder it was leaking. I ordered in a 3 stone hone specifically for this.

And here it is all cleaned up and reassembled.

I removed and cleaned the pushrod and installed a new seal in the crankcase. Really hard to see back there but it is spotless once again. Forgot to take a picture of how nasty it was before I cleaned it.

Also, the new calipers came in and they look awesome. I'll get the slave reinstalled tomorrow and then get the calipers in and bleed the system.

Here's the difference - old caliper on top, new on bottom.

Done.

Took it out for a brief run to fill up with ethanol free gas and to get it heated up to synchronize the carburetors.

Got that fine and washed it.

Here's the Sumitomo calipers installed:

Amd her it is all put back together and washed. Gotta wait for it to dry and then I'll spot wax it.

Not too shabby for a 17 year old bike.

That Godfather scene is just prior to him calling the undertaker/mortician and asking him to "clean up Sonny".
The undertaker is actually first seen in the movie in the opening during the wedding as the man asking for a revenge killing for his daughters honour, to which the godfather replys that no, no one will be killed for this but the men involved will be beaten for dishonouring the mortician's daughter. The godfather even chastisizes the mortician because has never really acknowledged the godfather nor involved himself in any business until he needed a favour. The mortician understands he now owes the godfather a debt.
When the mortician is first called for repayment to the godfather he is not told why and worries, as he readies himself, that his repayment will involve him in a major crime. He then finds out it is because of Sonny's death that the godfather has called. Upon hearing this news he tells the godafather that he cannot accept this job as repayment for his debt because he accepts it as man who is also a father.
The movie never really plays out quite a few entire stories unless you've gotten an out-take disc and the book.

Got the tank back. It wasn't leaking along the seam like I thought it was. There were three pinholes in it about half way up between the seam and the fuel filter holder. You can barely see where they repaired it.

They also only charged 150. Not too bad at all.
